How to become a doctor of chiropractic?
The title of Doctor of Chiropractic is a reserved title in Canada. To obtain it, we must successfully complete the 5-year university doctorate (245 credits total) and have passed the Canadian exams (cumulative standardized exams for five years of study).
We are often associated with lower back (lower back) and spinal pain. However, it is important to realize that our diagnostic ability extends to all regions of your body in a neuro-musculoskeletal context (nerves, muscles, bones and joints). We will mainly usemanual methods (adjustments, manipulations, mobilizations, distraction-traction and soft tissue work), complementary approaches (electrotherapy and massage therapy) and clinical exercises specific to your presentation for the reduction of acute or chronic pain symptoms.
Did you know this about chiropractic adjustment?
Chiropractic adjustment (joint manipulation) is a professional act reserved for doctors of chiropractic. These are rapid manipulations whose direction, amplitude and velocity are controlled by your doctor of chiropractic. Their aim will be to restore the mobility of a joint and to reduce regional pain during a consultation/appointment with us.
A partner for taking care of your health
The chiropractor understands that adopting healthy lifestyle habits is important to increase your chances of aging in good health by maintaining an active lifestyle and with small daily actions. We represent a major ally in our overloaded health system for the rapid and effective care of patients with neuro-musculoskeletal pain. Through a first consultation, you will receive information, a diagnosis, advice, tools and conservative chiropractic treatments to regain control over your pain.
